Jamie T. asked:Ok need some help, Any one from Utah who know of a good doctor for my cousin with suspeted EDS. She is trying to get help but all of them say she is a hypocondract. I just recentliy started talking to her again our familys just lost touch any way never talked about my EDS diagnosis with her or any health issues so her family kne nothing of y medical history. She was talking to me one day and was saying she did not feel good and had not for a long while. So asked what was going on she told me everthingshe said was like me at her age askd if she had been toa doc she said many but the GI doc could not find anything so they just said she had an eating disorder and needed mental health help. Every since then new doc pull her records and wount help her or give any testing to her. She started to pass out so I said youhave at least got to get some autonomic testing it took her 5 months and 3 doctors to finally just due a tilt table for her it came back possitive. Then they told her dysautonomis was so common with people like her (underwieght people who dont take care of them self because their mentialy ill) and refused to look in anythng else. She is suffering every day and want an answer other then your nuts. So anyone have any ideal of who she can she? I think she may have EDS she is bendy and breakable just like me!Elizabeth R. replied:What part of the state does your cousin live in? We saw Dr. Ellen Arch, in St. George. I highly recommend her. She may see patients in other parts of the state as well. She is also part of the Intermountain medical center, her number is 435-688-4830. We asked her for a referral to a gastroenterologist in the Salt Lake City area, but we haven't made an appt w him yet. The gastro. she recommended is named Dr. Rob Jones, if that is helpful.
