  Ladies, any criminal lawyers in the group or recommendations for one? A young woman came to me today in a pickle. She had an altercation with her ex boyfriend while she picked up her dog from his house. Alcohol was involved with both parties and she threw a can of tuna at him. Unbeknownst to her, she found out a day later he called the police and was charged with 4 counts of domestic assault. Her lawyer told her to plead guilty, take her lumps and take the New Directions anger management program route which she did in the hopes of having her charge revoked in 3 years time. However after reflecting on the future implications of a criminal charge (she wants to enroll in Massage Therapy but can't if she is convicted), she now wants to change her plea if possible and go to trial to defend herself. The ex boyfriend has written two letters to the Crown recanting his story and asking for leniency in her case since they were both at fault for that evening's events. Can anyone help? Advice or recommendations for new lawyer appreciated.
