She has complications due to various medical conditions that have caused her entire gastro intestinal system to almost shut down. However, neither her or I have had good look with gastroenterologists here. They dont spend that much time with us and trying to understand her problems and try to heal her. The ones shes seeing now have just given her a bunch of laxatives rather than really trying to heal her. Its gotten to the point where they see her for about 5-10 minutes max before pushing her to accounts receivables. Does anyone know of one or a practice that doesn't treat their patients like cattle?

  Oh. That sucks. So when they say up to 3 months for recovery, there's always a noticeable improvement early on? Can't you just come back to NY to get away from the allergens? NYC has some really kickass doctors. See castleconnolly.com. I'd guess New York eye and ear would be one of the best for that?

  Jen, without a subscription, you can also check out castleconnolly.com they do the TOP DOC ratings...you can use advanced search and pick what hospital you want the doc to be associated with. I have never gone wrong choosing a top doc

  You can call and see if they have other offices. My daughter's surgeon has 3 offices in Tampa and one in Brandon. Very often the doctors that make the America's Top Doctors list do have other offices. The only other names I can find on the list are farther away, such as Leesburg and Orlando. The web site I use is CastleConnolly.com, but you have to pay to subscribe which is not worth it if you only use it once. My family has dealt with cancer, heart problems, spine surgery etc... that is why I subscribe.
