  • I highly recommend our vet, Dr. Daphne Tanoye from Rock Creek Home Vet - http://rockcreekhomevet.com/. As the name implies, she is a mobile vet who does house calls. She used to practice at Kindness Animal Hospital in Wheaton, but she recently started her own practice. This is great for our older dog, who gets stressed when we take her to the vet office. She's a great vet, and the convenience factor is a huge added bonus. • We have had great experience with Takoma Park Animal Clinic on Carroll Ave. Dr. K (sorry I don't know the full name, everyone calls her Dr K) is amazing and we have liked the other Drs in the practice as well. We had our Greyhound treated there throughout her life dealing with epilepsy and food allergies, and more recently worked through some pseudo ear infections on our standard poodle. When our Greyhound was in crisis with major seizure, Dr. K came very promptly to the house at 8:00 in the evening, because the dog was so disoriented and under stress that I could not possibly have gotten her to the clinic. She also very readily put a friends old/ailing dog down at the house rather than requiring her to bring the dog to the clinic. It clearly helped the other dog in the household deal with the death of the ailing dog. We're fans of Takoma Park Animal Clinic. • Kremelmeier is her last name. We used Takoma for all our animals over the last 30 years.
