My dad has been working on cars almost all his life, but only in his free time, so while most things he can fix, this he can not. Based upon the way it acting and trial by elimination my dad believes it to be either cracked head, cracked head gasket, blocked valve. The code it's throwing is "Misfire in Cylinder 5". It's. 2001 Ford Taurus and it's never over heated. So if anyone knows of a person please leave me their name and number in comments. I JUST need someone who will ride with me for about 15 minutes to actually feel what my car is doing rather than me try and explain the issue. I have to put my 2 year old granddaughter in this car everyday and I can't rely on the computer test that have been done because three times I have fixed what it says is wrong and my car is just getting worse!! Today my car jumped forward while my foot was on the brake dead stopped at a light, and I almost hit a van in front of me!! I am not a mechanic but not afraid to work on my car. I really think I have a vacuum leak SOMEWHERE, or some kind of an air problem but I Can't find it!! I have to fix the problem if someone could just please help me find it.
