  We put together "comfy kits" for kids in the foster care system through https://www.facebook.com/1620891124828668 My Comfy Kits. Often kids leave homes with little more than a plastic grocery bag of stuff - if that. We aimed to do the older demographic - tween to teen - that often gets overlooked. Backpacks or bags with stuff like pajama pants, athletic shorts, sweats, hair care supplies, journals, cool pens, makeup. New stuff that could be theirs - nothing used or hand me down. We also adopt large families at Christmas, donate to a new local women's shelter and provide school supplies to another drive. I wish we could do more!
