The story behind "Peanut Animal Welfare Fund". Peanut was a male cat who fought to survive but instead left behind a legacy. Peanuts was a case of a severely abused male cat who was eventually brought to Dr Melinda Swanevelder, a vet at Duynevet. The owner did not seek help for her cat for four days after it was cut open, testicles removed and urethia severed by his abusers. Despite the severe pain and bleeding, Peanut remained friendly and loving. One of the most severe cases of animal abuse. Our aim is to educate ALL about animal care and well being

Carey W. asked:2016-07-15 Please help me find Archie. He is a tan & white Snt Bernard Cross, approximately 9 years old. We regrettably had to rehome him in 2011-2012. Recently we tried contacting the family who adopted him, to see how he is doing. We were horrified to find that he had been abandoned and the neighbours had called the SPCA to collect him. He was collected from the home he lived at, in Charles Hoffe Ave, Melkbosstrand, opposite the van Riebeekstrand Primary School, West Coast, Cape Town in June 2014. He is microchipped so we called Identipet who confirmed that The Cape of Good Hope contacted them in June 2014. Unfortunately we were not contacted or possibly they were unable to get hold of us at that time. We contacted The Cape of Good Hope, July 2016, but unfortunately they have not been able to assist us as yet. If you know Archie or know where I can find him please contact me. I desperately need to know that he is okay.
