  Didn't I run into you once on Montgomery Street? I second the Slanted Door in the Ferry Building. Also Kokkari not too far from there on Jackson, and the newly reopened Fog City on Battery at Embarcadero.

  Ditto on The Slanted Door recommendation. If you like sushi, Umami is incredible. Also, don't miss Tartine's bakery for breakfast. Next door is a great authentic pizza joint for lunch: Delfina.
