Where can I find a classic "barbershop" in Chicago? Twentysomething male from Toronto, Canada here. I'm contemplating a trip to Chicago in August - and something I have long loved the idea of doing is going to a true "barbershop" to have my hair cut. I'm talking right out of the *Barbershop* movies. Where the fellas sit around talking sports, politics, and the crazy things happening in the world. I'd also like to get my hair cut while I'm there... but it would seem that's somewhat of a secondary purpose.
In any case, what I'd like to know is this...
- Do these places actually exist, or have movies such as the *Barbershop* trilogy created an illusion for the masses?
- If they do exist, can anyone suggest a good place?

Do you want the full blown black barbershop experience? Or just a barber shop. If the latter, I can't recommend these guys enough: http://www.belmontbarbershop.com/ There's another barbershop I liked when I lived on the south side on Taylor just a couple of blocks East of Western. If you're near wicker park, there's http://www.winchesterbarbers.com/
Barber recommendations? Bearded gentlemen here and in need of a barber than can help me achieve a professional look

I go to [Belmont Barbershop](http://www.belmontbarbershop.com/). Also sometimes go to [Andre's Barber Shop](http://www.yelp.com/biz/andres-barber-shop-chicago). Some friends work at [Joe's Barbershop](http://joesbarbershopchicago.com/). All of them are solid choices.
Looking for a Barbershop So I was watching this [video.](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gpm54WIyZk) And it got me wondering if there are any good barbershops around the Chicago land area.
