Does anyone know where I could purchase a speed light diffuser? I have a event to cover this Friday which I can not order one online so this kind of put me in a bind.
Any help would be appreciated, Thank You!
Kimberley J. replied:
You can rent one and pick up at www.aperturent.com
Does anyone need a co-worker who shoot films? I've worked photo/video simultaneously, however I need a photographer who can share my work or one's. I usually work at North GA, but I'm ready to go in GA (One wedding session at Griffin, June).

Aperturent or Showcase. Showcase was cheaper.

Aperturent. Julie Hunter - is a APG discount still available?
Julie H. replied:
I just pulled up the very first thing listed on their (showcase) rental catalog. For a weekend, the 1DC is $420, Aperturent's price is $250.
Lauren R. replied:
:D Yay. Thank you. The reason I even went to Showcase, was because y'all were closed. I chose Aperturent first. I was just stating what I found. I tried to use you guys first. I've heard nothing but good stuff about Aperturent. However, my first experince wasn't good. But that will not stop me from using you in the future. :)
Annalise K. replied:
I've had nothing but exceptional service (and gear) from Aperturent.

Photographer friends, I need a lens recommendation. The autofocus stopped working on my Canon kit lens (IS 18-55 mm) and I need a replacement. My only other lens is a telephoto. Do I upgrade or just replace with the same thing? (Keep in mind that I don't have any mad camera skills!) Or does anyone have a used lens they'd like to sell? Thanks!
Matt B. replied:
FYI, if you're wanting to try out a lens before buying, check with Aperturent. It's a local ATL-based photo gear rental company. Good rates and they have a ton of lenses + other gear. http://aperturent.com/
hey Sandy! all APG members have a discount too at Aperturent.com, use APGMEMBER10 when you are checking out or if you have questions, call me in the office 9:30-5:30, at 866-360-6161.
I want to buy the new Camera and lenses? Is there a good store in the metro Atlanta area or do you mostly buy online?
Julie H. replied:
I would recommend KEH.com for used gear. I recommend B&H for new gear. I would recommend Aperturent.com for renting anything before purchasing. Use APGMEMBER10 as a coupon code when placing your order with Aperturent.com
Is there a place where I can rent one of those monitor calibrators? My monitor is driving me crazy. And after viewing some of my work on other monitors I can see that some of my photos are critically off.
Julie H. replied:
We have them at Aperturent.com and all APG members get a discount.
I'm looking for a place to get all my needs for my small photography business (equipment, repair, classes, etc) within the atlanta area.
Julie H. replied:
Equipment = to purchase, keh.com or b&h.com to rent try Aperturent.com, repair, try Peachtree Camera Repair or vphotoatlanta.com and for classes, Atlanta Photography: Meetups, Workshops, and Classes. or Studio APG or Workshops by Cory are all great places to start.
