  It's a ride but Jose's in Bradenton is famous. It was even featured on Food Network. They have the best fried plantains I have ever had. The meals are authentic and delicious. People drive from all over to eat there. The Columbia Restaurant at St.Armands Circle in Sarasota is pretty good too but the one in Tampa is better. Mi Pueblos in Venice is pretty good too.

  Thanks for all the birthday wishes yesterday. I'm truly blessed w /a great family. Had a great day. Kids fixed me breakfast (w/ some help from Mom), ran some errands, & then Mere took me for a fabulous dinner to Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City (highly recommend) where I had an incredible Snapper dish. Tried to get into Wolf of Wall Street but it was sold out.
