  Best place to purchase wild flower seed? Hi all! First time poster here. I live in south Denver and walk a fairly bland part of the high line canal everyday. There are a few patches that could use some wild flowers. Hoping to get into guerrilla gardening and start spreading wild flower seed around my walk. Wondering if anyone has a recommendations on where I can buy Colorado wild flower seed in bulk? I’m thinking I’ll need a few pounds of the stuff to start, but struggling with here to get this stuff locally

  Help with Xeriscaping suburban yard? We live in Lafayette and have a "typical" all turf grass yard. We would like to find some help in converting at least half the lawn (if not more) into native grasses or groundcover that is low maintenance and uses much less water. I have looked at County websites for DIY (which we physically not able to do) or one-stop landscaping companies that are WAY too expensive.   HELP PLEASE! I have been asked to lead an informal workshop on winter-sowing for our county extension office... Need advice, please, because I am strictly an amateur gardener. I am thinking of providing soil and seeds, and asking people to bring their milk jugs. Are there any beginner-friendly seeds that would be guarantee for success? I am in zone 6. Also, if anyone has seeds to share, please keep me in mind. I would love to offer a buffet of seeds for anyone who shows up for the workshop. (I already have a good supply of milkweed.)

  Hey Mat, you are wise to ask for help before you spend a lot of money. There are great resources for the Colorado soils and climate on the Colorado extension website and highcountrygardens.com. the latter also sells plants and preplanned gardens. Good luck!

After doing a lot of the work on our backyard myself, I decided to just hire a general landscaping contractor to get it wrapped up and done with little work from me. We are doing a low-water xeriscape yard and the guy we found specializes in it.   FLORIDA FRIENDS--Once again we are on the hunt for a landscaper. We need someone who can handle our very, very steep back yard hill. That seems to be the main issue with every single person we have hired so far. Our yard is small, with not much grass. Not much maintenance required. But that hill scares people off.
