  Grandparents were having glass slider doors replaced on their 3 seasons porch so my 84 year old grandfather with Parkinson's who is essentially bedridden could at least be brought to the porch a little this summer. My husband talked to the people beforehand and explained there was some wood rotting and wanted to be sure that would not be a major issue after work began which they ensured there wouldn't be as they would just reframe it. Yesterday work began and after a couple hours they said the rot is from wet rot and carpenter ants and are pausing work indefinitely until a contractor is hired to come in and replace all the rot. The porch is now all boarded up. Every contractor so far is booked out for months. Any recommendations for an affordable contractor who could do this work quickly?

  Good Morning, Merrimack! I have floors that need repair from water damage. All water is cleaned up & potential mold mitigated. There is a section of Shaw laminate that needs replacing, six ceramic tiles that need fitting and laying in a bathroom, thresholds into bedrooms and bathroom, and baseboards. I have one extremely expensive estimate, Lowes won't "repair" only "replace", and the top recommendation on Angie's List has just stood me up for the second day in a row. Can anyone help me out?   Hi all! We are looking for a small (I think?) project to get done, and are looking for recommendations on who would be able to do the job. We are installing a chain link fence in the yard for the dogs, and are hoping to remove a railing on the deck and add a staircase for access to the fenced in area. I've attached a photo of the area of the deck that we are looking to add the staircase to. Any thoughts on who could do this type of work? Thanks in advance!
