Wise list... suddenly about a month ago, one of our toilets which is about 15 years old starting overflowing quite regularly. We called our plumber who came out to snake the drain and said he couldn't "feel" anything. He advised us to call back if it starting overflowing again. It did, we called. He came back out (thankfully at no cost) but flushed the toilet about 10 times with paper in it and said he really didn't feel the toilet needed replacing (no tell tail signs that there was blockage with a gurgling sound). That was a week ago. Tonight, it starting overflowing again! We've put the fear of god into our children not to use too much paper and this seems to be the only toilet in the house with issues (our others are new). Should we have a different plumber out? Should we try to re-snake it? Replace the toilet (which has a 14 inch spread so have to special order it)? Any great plumber recommendations out there? Any sage advice? Thank you!
