Looking for a Cross Fit box (gym) in or near Weston.
The coaches need to be more concerned with form, than motivation.
Sloppy form = injury
Many of my patients have got hurt doing cross fit, but I suspect it's some of the overly competitive places that could increase that risk.
There's a box in Fort Lauderdale I use. Coach A was really chill, showed how to do movements, didn't bark orders, designed a great workout, then cooled down. Coach B was the opposite (the day I happened to bring my wife), he was relentless, I kept up, so did my wife (she's not a quitter), but she was sore for almost a week. Not cool, since I had previously told Coach B that it was her first time.
Next workout with Coach C was just as good as A, but then we broke up into groups. I was odd man out, so Coach C calls Coach B to workout with me. Upside handstand push ups are brutal and this guy wanted to make sure I got every rep!
So I'm looking for a Crossfit box that won't get me hurt, likes to have fun, family atmosphere (but no kids), and has excellent programming focused on technique.
Any suggestions?
