The wish project is open in the morning tomorrow and Friday and in the morning on Saturday. The dishes will go to people in the area who need supplies to start a new house.
Hi folks. Anyone know of any organizations or programs or someone you know personally that can put me in contact with a family or families that need a bit of help (gifts) this holiday season for their kids? Thanks!

I <3 The Wish Project! We adopted a family this year and had a detailed email with information and very easy guidelines for each family member within minutes. (You can choose large or small family depending on your budget.) My kids are in charge of choosing things for the kids based on their likes and dislikes, and I love that we get a whole family. (Before we'd done it through the Y, and you get one kid at a time and not necessarily from the same family, and this way you can be sure things will be even within that group on Christmas.)
The Wish Project is able to provide the recently homeless and other clients (homebound elderly, for example) with four dollars worth of goods per ONE dollar donation they receive, and they do this primarily through recycling and reusing goods. It's great for the environment, too.
