  Looking at getting lasik sometime in the next several weeks. My wife had hers done last year at joffee and while she's satisfied, I think the cost was on the high side.(~3k) Does anyone have experience with another company that they would recommend? Also what did it cost roughly. My current prescription is pretty weak so I'd likely have a pretty basic service needed. Tia

  I had LASIK done about 15 years ago by Dr. Y. Ralph Chu at Chu Vision Institute, now located in Bloomington. He is very experienced and highly recommended. That said, I agree with others who say you get what you pay for. Also, the "lifetime care/tweaks" perk is a pro... and not. After all these years, my eyes are starting to weaken just a bit, and, while I am totally covered for exams, future procedures, etc., my eyes have aged and are not in the same health so I don't have all the same options. www.chuvision.com
