Who Are We? We are a small food pantry with a big heart! We are located in the basement of the West Nashville United Methodist Church on Charlotte Avenue.
What Do We Do? We provide staples and fresh produce to approximately 100+ families a week – people without homes, retired people, single moms and children. Real People With Real Needs Our goal is to do more than provide food – we strive to make a personal connection with every shopper and let them know that they are cared for.
What Can You Do? VOLUNTEER: We are open every Saturday from 7:30 to noon. You will get to work “one on one” with each shopper – you will meet the most amazing, wonderful people! Sign up at hon.org (Hands on Nashville) under food pantry distribution. DONATE: Coordinate a Food Drive or donate canned and shelf stable items. Every food donation, large and small is GREATLY appreciated.
RIGHT NOW OUR SHELVES ARE LOW, BUT OUR SPIRITS ARE HIGH BECAUSE WE KNOW THAT WORKING AT THE “LITTLE PANTRY THAT COULD” IS A GIFT. JOIN US IF YOU CAN AND YOU WILL SEE WHY WE ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT WE DO!
Any ideas for groceries on a $25 a week budget for a 3 person family? We are thinking if getting a 5lb ground beef to start....any help would be appreciated. (I am applying for jobs btw.)
