  Canine Clips is 1582 Queen between Rhodes and Coxwell on the North Side. She is only open in the summer on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and the odd Friday....you must call and book an apt, and make sure your dog is in there by 9:30 am....(AGAIN, must make an apt, no walk ins)

  I took my Goldendoodle once to Canine Clips 9+ years ago. I said these words: "I want a Puppy Cut. Please do NOT give her a Poodle Cut: she's not a Poodle." When I picked her up, Gracie had a Poodle Cut: complete with poofy top-knot, poof on the tail, poof around the ankles, etc. To be fair, Doodles were not common yet, and at 9 months old, Gracie looked a lot like a Poodle, so maybe she's learned the difference since then. I never went back to find out, though Just curious as to whether the folks who are recommending her own Doodles? I'm sure she gave Gracie a very nice Poodle Cut -- it just wasn't what I asked for...

  Dear Leslieville neighbours: my pup (Shiba Inu) hates, despises and screams bloody murder every time we try to trim his nails. I've tried four different trimming devices, baited him with high value meat treats...but nothing. He has no problems with us touching or playing with his paws/nails, but the moment he knows that a nail trim is about to happen....oh boy!!! I'm hoping my lovely neighbours might have recommendations of a dog groomer who specializes in difficult nail trims. Thanks :)
