Now i've been lurking in all these global forums where riders have access and $$$ for phil wood stuff, rohloffs, igh's triple-butted spokes, chukker rims etc. How bombproof can we get when it comes to the very limited supplies we have at our local stores? Been everywhere except quiapo. What's ideal and available and DURABLE? A lot of MTB-based 26 wheelsets address different riding modes, and often, premium price is attached to light weight for racing. But as touring is a different need, what do you use? What do you regret buying? Touring peeps, please share some of your advice and experience. I don't want to scrimp, but I don't wanna buy hyperexpensive stuff that was designed for podium placing but will fail on me in the middle of nowhere. Thanks!

  For touring, as much as possible don't get butted spokes. For hubs as much as possible always 36H as Alway's straight gauge. They have DT Swiss spokes at https://www.facebook.com/127528320590594 Glorious Ride Bikeshop, they might also have it at Cartimar Pasay. New Paulina's Bikeshop in Cartimar has DT Swiss Brass spokes, don't get aluminum as it will corrode in time.
