  Hi all, we are thinking about visiting Neuschwanstein in the near future. Since it's a 3 hour drive, I would like to know if there's anything else to do in that area. Could you recommend staying overnight and visiting some other places in the area as well? What's there to see/do? We would do a trip together with our son, who's almost 2. Also, would you recomment taking a tour through the castle? I have heard that visitors are rushed through the castle and I don't know if that'll work with our toddler... Thanks in advance!

  For the castle I completed this online form in July (to avoid the queues). They needed a couple of weeks notice. I chased them up on 17 Aug because I'm going on Sunday 28 & the following day (18 Aug) I received the pdf confirmation. I need to get there a few hours before my time, on Sunday, to pick up the pre-booked tickets. I'm staying in Füssen, just booked in booking.com http://www.fussen-info.com/contact-contato/
