  Marlene, only 1 cc of cord blood is collected after all deliveries & that's sent to RT for cord blood gases, much like an ABG. Placentas from C sections are sent to pathology. Placentas from vaginal deliveries are frozen & kept for a short period of time, then they are sent off as medical waste & incinerated. Ellie the 2 best ones are CBR (Cord Blood Registry) & Viacord. I've personally had several patients use CBR. I'd advise you to contact them ASAP, as you're over 20 weeks. http://m.cordblood.com/
