Ok, some of you may be wondering what Cool Kind Motors is all about. Well, if you are around the air cooled scene in San Diego, you are bound to run into Trace Tidwell either through his online missives and posts or just running into him at any number of air cooled events. He has been working with Scott Phillips and Aimee Asebroek in the north county for over a year now on a number of projects and it just seemed that there was a good match there to work together to bring their passion for this community to others. So, possibly more club than business, Cool Kind is out to promote the restoration and recovery of these iconic automobiles but with a mission to support our community by offering advice and direction where we know it, support the businesses in this field that we think embody the spirit of this community and do kick-ass work. If we can offer services either in our shop or in our mobile recovery and service Vanagon, well, you can be assured most of that will get tilled right back into supporting our own projects.
Why Cool Kind Motors? Cuz those motors are the coolest kind.
Someone recommend me a shop to get rid of my Super Shimmy. I definitely need ball joints, and probably tie rod ends (and possibly wheels balanced, alignement, yada yada yada)
I'm doing some mods to the dash on my 68 Vert. I'm adding VDO gauges but everything else is stock. The problem is, I had a electrician rewire my bug installing an upgraded fuse box with the plan to have him redo the dash at a later date. Well I took too long and the guy retired. Now I need a good electrician that can do the job and figure out what the previous electrician did. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm in San Diego.
