  Just a quick tip for anyone considering booking a taxi with Revidge and Wilpshire taxis, particularly an airport run. Don't bother. If anyone could recommend another (reliable) transfer company that would be much appreciated for the future. We have previously used them and had no problems. This time we booked a return airport transfer to Manchester. It wasn't the cheapest transfer but we were happy to pay the extra as they seemed reliable and also they would allow us to use our car seats and then again on the return journey (which was very important to us as we have a baby and a just turned four year old and were travelling early hours so they would be sleeping) We arrived yesterday morning at the airport to find that the transfer had arrived with no car seats. We had to travel on a busy motorway at peak time with two children under the age of four being held on knees and being thrown around the minibus. We were told that the driver had been drafted in on a last minute job and the car seats were still in Blackburn. I rang today to speak to the owner of the company to express my disappointment, and was met by a barrage of excuses; that the car seats were elsewhere on a delayed transfer. On the contrary, we overheard our driver saying that 'you told me to just turn up and they'd be fine without them'. I tried to express to the owner how disappointed I was about compromising my children's safety to be met with 'well I don't want customers like you anyway'. Not once was I offered an apology which was all I was expecting. Not a good way of doing business and they certainly won't be getting our repeat business, particularly after recently talking to others who have also had problems. Just think twice about using this company. I'm sure there may be people who have used them without problems before (as we had) but I am absolutely appalled by their customer service and lack of care. £85 of business and they act like that? Not impressed.
