Thrift stores? I love thrift shopping. I enjoy looking through old stuff, new stuff, non-overpriced antiques, etc.
I'm new to Southern California. When I do a google search, the majority of what comes up is goodwill and some other consignment boutiques
Anyone have any recommendations of good thrift stores?

I would recommend the Goodwills in Santa Monica (on the Promenade), Los Feliz, and next to USC (especially right after the end of the semester). It definitely takes some time but there are great finds! Other great places are the [FIDM Scholarship Store](https://www.yelp.com/biz/fidm-scholarship-store-los-angeles) in DTLA, [National Council for Jewish Women thrift shops](http://ncjwla.org/council-thrift-shops/store-locations/) on the west side, and Melrose sidewalk sale.
I'll be in L.A. in a few weeks. Can anyone recommend good junk stores? Not fancy antiques or vintage boutiques, more like dust and tetanus.

Not quite dust & tetanus, but used to check here when I lived nearby, just to see what they might have: http://ncjwla.org/council-thrift-shops/store-locations/
