Yesterday's torrential rains and flooding have taken out roads all over the sanctuary and knocked down a section of our coyote enclosure. We had to invoke emergency protocols to ensure none of the 8 orphaned coyote pups were injured or escaped. Also roads up to our deer fawn enclosures were washed out making it difficult to get food and water up to the little fawns.
We are in desperate need of gravel and large culverts to repair all of the damage to the roads, fencing that has washed out. If you know anyone who owns a gravel pit who may be willing to donate gravel we would be most grateful. We also need people to help out with the necessary repairs at the sanctuary.
