About us

Emily started photography in 2006, her senior year of high school. From there she went on to trying out college and what it was like. Few years down the road she enrolled and attended Brooks Institute for her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Portrait Photography. After moving to Santa Barbara in late 2011 she began her portrait business. Photographing weddings all over the country and portraits in San Diego. After finishing school in 2013 she traveled back to San Diego to live permanently for the time being.

At Emily Taplin we specialize in destination family photos. In means that we either travel to you or you have traveled to San Diego. We have worked hard to bring together two very sought out styles combining them together to create a 'traditionally candid' image. We have travels as far as New York state to photograph some of the sweetest human beings and we cannot wait to hear from you!
