Anyone know of any basic photography classes in the area that introduce you to your DSLR? I've already looked into the nearby park districts, but the dates aren't working with my schedule. Looking for other options. Thanks!

FroKnowsPhoto is a decent site, some of his earlier videos are good (especially the 5 minute portraits), but he's a tad brash and opinionated for my tastes. I have been shooting with a DSLR since 2003 and am very skilled. I would be willing to meet up with a few people at the library or somewhere to go over the basics if people are interested. You can see my work on my website at http://gorilla-studios.com. I've never done one-on-one teaching or classes, but I can help out anyone willing to learn
I know this is a shot in the dark. But is anyone in this group a professional photographer or married to one that would be willing to barter pro photos for pro photos? My husband is a pro photographer and it's nearly impossible for us to get a good family photo using a tripod especially with a toddler. We would be more than happy to return the favor. Here's a link to his portrait work. I will also include a link to his main website in the comments.
