About us

Barks of Hope is a 501c3 non-profit organization, founded in September 2014. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find forever homes for stray dogs in Puerto Rico.

We are in partnership with two rescue organizations in New Jersey and one in New York, that help us find those forever homes for our rescues in the US.

This is Sly she was dumped about 2 weeks ago on the beach road in Aguada. She is supper sweet and loving probably about 20 lbs. We are looking for someone who would like to help her out with a foster or adoption. Defensa has graciously offered to help with the initial vet costs. She needs to be fixed so we don't have a bunch of Sly Devils running around. She also has a partner in crime running around that was dumped at the same time but not available for pictures today,still looking. She is VERY VERY Adoptable and will make a great part of someones family.
