  #Anonymous post submitted via http://goo.gl/O3Mgeu - no.732 I am after recommendations for a local plumber who: 1)understands that rental properties need notice for work to be done so can't just rock up when they have a free moment 2) charge what they quote - I don't want someone who quotes me a cash price and passes it off as their normal hourly price 3) doesn't tack on an extra $50-$60 for doing work for someone who a) is a female b) the requirement of having an invoice c) living in a complex (why they charge more for doing work in a private unit in a complex compared to a house never makes sense) 4) doesn't demand a cash payment on the spot unless they want to be paid in 5c, 10c and 20c pieces 5) doesn't threaten to go and take out the piece they repaired if they don't get a cash payment on the spot Or if anyone can recommend a female plumber I'd be happy to give them a call. The requirements might be full on but after a run in with a dodgy local plumber who tried to charge me an extra $52 above his quoted 'price' for an invoice (had given me a quoted price and a cash price) i no longer wish to deal with tradies who think they can get away with charging me extra because I'm a female and then calling me a liar or 'trouble' because I refuse to pay more than quoted.
