David was recommended by Mid America Appliance Parts. I honestly couldn't tell you why they would recommend him if anyone else had the experience that we had. Our Kenmore Elite Side by Side Refrigerator was not cooling properly. My wife called him that morning and he came out the same day, about 6:00 PM. He cleaned the coils under the refrigerator and put the water filter back that I had taken out the night before. When I came home, he told me about the cleaning of the coils and re-installing the water filter. He said that it was starting to cool down a little, but it would take a while. I asked him if he had checked the Evaporator Coils and the Evaporator Motor and Fan. He flat told me that he had checked them both. I also asked if he had checked the Condenser Motor and Fan, as well as the Compressor and he stated that he had. After he left, I waited for about an hour to see if any cooling was going to start. Nothing was happening. No air blowing, no coldness from anywhere. I looked at the screws that hold on the back panel of the freezer, which covers the Evaporator Coils and the Evaporator Fan and Motor. The screws that hold the panel on were still completely covered in ICE. If he had removed them, there is no way that they would have had the ice still on them. If he had removed the panel, he would have seen just how frozen the Evaporator Coils were. He also would have been able to visibly see that the Evaporator Fan was not getting enough power from the motor. I removed the panel and defrosted the coils. I verified that the defrost element was heating properly and observed that Evaporator Fan was not turning enough to generate any air movement. I had an Evaporator Motor from a previous Kenmore Elite and I replaced the one in the refrigerator with the spare one I had. Presto!!! We immediately had cooling and a major amount of air blowing, just as it should be. BOTTOM LINE: He wanted, and collected, a service fee for doing nothing except looking me in the eye and flat out lying to me when I asked him if he had checked the Evaporator Coils and the Evaporator Motor and Fan. I highly suggest that you steer clear from this one, especially if you have anything that is less than 10 years old.
Hot water tank pilot light will not stay lit. Any recommendations for a plumber that makes Saturday house calls? Like right now?

I am in search of someone to look at the refrigerator in my garage that is reliable and won't charge based on zip code! It's running but not cooling. Had to throw away everything in it! :(
ISO honest, dependable refrigerator repair person. I searched the page and found several comments but none since October of last year. Just making sure there are no additional suggestions or recommendations. Thank you!
