About us
Sweetwell is a working livestock farm. In a area filled with glitz and glamour, Sweetwell has stuck to its identity as first and foremost a farm, with the Butchery and Restaurant showcasing what is produced on the farm. The butchery is famous for its exceptional quality pork that has people from all over traveling to purchase, and many top restaurants in the area purchasing as well. Tracability here is foremost. Other meats are also sold plus a large variety of deli products. The restaurant is casual and elegant with a French flair décor wise. The food is always prepared fresh and is seasonal, not run of the mill and not only limited to pork. The restaurant is fully licensed. Private functions of 25 or more can be catered for plus we do Baby Showers, High Teas and Bridal Showers. We have done a couple of weddings with more coming up this year. Both restaurant and Butchery are open Monday to Sunday

Haven't booked anything yet, but trying to vet through the overwhelming amount of options (it's a good problem ha). Any advice and/or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I'll be there with my girlfriend and one other couple, all in our early 30s. We love good food, wine, especially if it doesn't have to come at the cost of dealing with pretentious people. Not sure about cost yet, but willing to spend what's needed to have the best time possible since i'll probably never be back (I'm from the US). Some questions I had were: What's the best way to get there from Cape Town? Is there a company you'd recommend using to visit the different vineyards? What were your favorite stops (either for the wine, food or ambiance)? Where would you recommend staying? Are there any Vinyards that you'd recommend staying at?
