Michael C. asked:I took my wife's 2011 X5 into bmw of Murray a couple weeks ago for a check engine and a misfire in cylinder 4. After replacing the coils plugs and injectors the misfire did not go away ($1600). BOM is now say that they think I have a dead cylinder, so I asked for a quote on replacing the head. I am being quoted 20hrs labor just for tare down and diagnostics ($2500). Then $7500 for a new head. And another $2500 for rebuild. 12k for a head replacement is pretty outrageous. Is there anyone that can recommend a good shop that carries a warranty on there work, that can perform this job?
