  I recently stayed at the caribe in two rooms that connected. We requested this via our travel agent. If you go onto my Barcelo.com and do a live chat they will tell you what the fee is. I want to say it was like 70 ish a day. However, I just made a request. When I arrived they told me they had no connecting rooms available. However, after further pressing the issue they found me some!

  Hi, We are going to Barcelo Caribe in July for the first time and wondered if anyone could answer a few questions. We are 2 adults and one 12 year old. 1. Where would be the best rooms (I read somewhere the 3rd/top floor was best) and how do we request these. 2. How many visits to the a la carte restaurants are included with a package and is it best to book these in advance. Also what are the best restaurants. 3. Should I take $ or Pesos (we are coming from the UK). 4. In respect of trips/excursions is it best to book these in advance, via the hotel when we get there or with an independent outlet in the resort. Any tips on the best excursions would be appreciated.
