Mumbai peeps, can you please suggest a veterinary clinic in the western suburbs that has an x-ray facility? Gabbar, my 8-yr old lab, randomly started limping a week ago, finding it difficult to rest his front-left paw on the ground. No sign of injury, no swelling, nothing. He didn't even react when I pulled the leg & moved it around to check to locate the pain. Gave him warm compress, and after a couple of days, he stopped limping & was fine. Then he jumped to play with a toy, and it got aggravated, and he was limping again. When it didn't get better after a day, my wife took him to a well-reputed vet, who checked him thoroughly & said he would be fine. Prescribed painkillers for 3 days & advised rest. Said he's just aggravated his leg & that older age is taking a toll. When he was on the painkillers, he was better and limp was less pronounced. But after the dose is over, he's limping again. I am going to take him to another vet for a 2nd opinion, but I know that whoever I go to next will want to look one level deeper, which means, X-Ray. So I might as well directly go to a clinic/vet with x-ray facility available. The reason I narrated the entire mahabharat was also to see if anyone else had experienced a similar issue with an aging dog, and if so, kindly share your experience.
