I am saddened that I feel the need to bring awareness to the consumers who have the most trust in Doggie Dude Ranch. My husband and I were looking for a 3rd husky to add to our family. We already have 2 boys. The staff seemed so great and generous, and even allowed us to take home a puppy 4 days early. That should've been our first sign. We get our newest addition home, Willow, and notice she has the most abundant supply of watery diarrhea. Immediately we take Willow to the vet and she was diagnosed with Giardia and Coccidia. A $200 vet bill later (don't forget the $450 for Willow) we came home with medications for not only Willow, but for our 2 boys as well. We called DDR to inform them and to let the new owners know before they take home the puppies. Willow seemed to be doing great, but boy were we wrong. Willow is now on her 2nd set of Giardia medications. Remind you, we cleaned up every poop, sprayed it down and wiped her booty after each dropping - That was another vet bill. Then my oldest boy started having diarrhea. My boys do not go anywhere besides their bed and huddles once a month - remind you, the May huddle was cancelled, we bought Willow on Mother's Day, and my boys have only been at DDR within that time frame. Now my boy was diagnosed with hookworms, which my vet believes he caught from being at DDR - Another vet bill. DDR called us back with 1.) We receive a $100 check, or 2.) They give us $350 to give Willow back. How completely unprofessional of a business. Because of their lack of testing their puppies (the staff said all puppies had diarrhea) Willow brought home diseases that had already infected my other dog. A $100 check barely covers nothing after their mistakes, and why would giving Willow back be a solution when she already infected one of my boys? This place is a glorified back yard breeder and I for one would NEVER trust getting a puppy from there again, and I would NEVER allow my dogs to stay at their facility.
