I'm planning on driving down on the Saturday and staying overnight someplace before running and driving home the next day. As a Liverpool fan I know the route down very well - to a certain point! Having never been in the area can anyone give me some pointers about where to stay and essentially park overnight. I hate driving in city's (but love a motorway!) so would prefer to have an easy route! I've checked the usual hotel booking sites but being so unfamiliar with the area I don't really know where is close to what! Help please.
