Looking for some advice from any mechanics out there.. It looks like my clutch on my 52 plate BMW 320i needs replacing. I've been quoted a price of around £900. It's a complete price that includes labour, the clutch kit and the flywheel (which is the main part of the cost). I'm not questioning the price as such, as it is in line with some online quotes I've looked at. My question is, does the flywheel need replacing when the clutch is? As this is about £500 of the price! How would I tell if the flywheel needs replacing? My clutch doesn't judder when I press the pedal, it's just the high revs and not a lot of power when I put my foot down that suggests the clutch is slipping.
