A big component of any training will be to get the "human" to know what he/she may be doing that's negatively impacting the dog's ability to learn. Scot does a nice combination of the two - he'll work with the human and point out mixed messages that you may be sending, but can also work with you to find out what motivates your pup. You'll walk away with some homework to work on for the next class, but it was a great experience. You're also in an atmosphere to hear what others may be struggling with that will help you as well.
