Before I could walk I was mixing, rolling, sprinkling and tasting. Just as my mother before me and her mother before that. The secret family recipe for German gingerbread (Pfefferkuchen) was first baked by my Gran in 1963. It all began by making little bags of biscuits to spread festive cheer amongst boarding school kids.
Uplifting hearts and bringing joy has always been a part of the magic.
