About us
My name is Vanessa Ahearn and I am currently an independent hair stylist located at Guys and Dolls Salon in Torrington CT. I have been in the industry for roughly fourteen years, receiving my license after completing four years of training at Oliver Wolcott Tech. I have gone on to take numerous continuing education classes throughout the years, with a primary focus on color education.
I would consider myself a color specialist, meaning I work primarily with color application techniques. I have been practicing the art of Balayage and Freehand Hair Painting for roughly 4 years now. These applications allow a more natural look to the hair, and allowing a more natural grow out for my clients. I also specialize in custom intensities colors. This being all of the vibrant reds, pinks, purples, and blues you can see in my portfolio. All of my clients receive a custom blend of colors so you can be sure your color is unique to you!
