  So I'm moving to st Pete in march. I have a ton of fresh water fishing gear... I'm looking to buy some used surf rods and inshore rods. Nothing special, just decent enough to get by until I find a good local shop I want to give my business too. My wife isn't moving to st Pete until late may or early June so I'm hoping to explore some good fishing spots to show her when she comes down. Also, where the best beach to drive onto and spend a day surf fishing. I'm sure all beaches aren't open to drive on and fish from in pinellas and around Tampa right??

  If you don't find any you like locally try sixgillfishing.com they are redoing their surf rod line up and have last year's models on closeout sale right now. Super good gear and a few mid size to bigger spinning reels are on sale too

  Have any of y'all tried falcon rods? Been thinking about dobyns or falcon rods, trying to find a good rod company to settle on. Open to any other preferred rod companies as well. Thanks guys!!

  I have had good luck with Falcon rods, however this was probably early 2000's. I've never used Dobyn's, so I'm unsure of the comparison.
