Does anyone know of an attorney that does do landlord/tenant law? I have black mold spreading on the ceiling in my home and my property management company will not reply to my calls or emails. It has become uninhabitable. I need an attorney. The Health Department just tells me to contact an attorney.

  If you do move out taking your items with you may not be advisable depending on how much the mold has spread. You will only end up taking the mold with you. Do yourself a favor and research before you move. Survivingtoxicmold.com is a good source to start with. Good luck. I've dealt with toxic mold many years ago and it was a pain in the ass.

  Looking for some advice. In renovating our house (purchased 2 years ago) we've found quite a bit of black mold. It's been removed as we find it, yet we suspect the problem is much more widespread and most likely not all clearly visible. We want to do testing in order to determine exactly where additional problems may be, as well as to find out if the areas we've remediated still have any toxins present. Does anyone have experience with effective testing? Did you call in professionals or do the mail-in kits? Any companies you would recommend (or avoid...please send a PM if so)? If you had positive mold tests what/whom do you advise for remediation? It's such a confusing and overwhelming topic, and it's been causing severe health problems already which makes it even more stressful. Thanks very much for any advice you can give.
