My name is Chonelle Bicknell. I am a photographer based in Harare Zimbabwe. I like to think that I don’t photograph people. I photograph the way they make me feel. Admittedly, it’s a bit of a strange concept. But it’s honest – and it’s the best way to describe my approach to the craft. I believe that photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with how you see them.
I obsess over every image I take and assume perfection is possible and I try to wrangle it out of every image I take.
