About us
For over 30 years, Tippin's pie has been a Kansas City tradition. Originally founded in 1980 as Pippin's Restaurant and Pie Pantry, in 1985, the name was changed to Tippin's. Pie lovers from around the Kansas City area came to the restaurants to experience the most delicious pies within hundreds of miles.
In the summer of 2004 the Tippin's Restaurant and Pie Pantry closed their retail operations, but Balls Foods realized the significance of the Tippin's name, and what it meant to Kansas City. Balls Foods purchased the original Tippin's pie formulas and created Tippin's Gourmet Pies, L.L.C., thus carrying on a Kansas City tradition of exceptional pie.
In 2011, www.tippinspies.com was created to offer the gourmet pies around the country. As the Tippin's brand spreads to retailers near and far, the constant of quality handmade pie remains.
The Tippin's Facebook page and other social channels are a family-oriented place for sharing our love of premium, hand-crafted pies and homestyle foods. We're excited to share the fun that surrounds our company and interact with you, our fans!
That being said, we ask that you follow this simple recipe while connecting with us:
1. Please be respectful with your words and posts. We want everyone to mix well.
