Questions & Answers
Q: How far in advance should I place an order?
A: Kake Savvy requests that custom cake orders be placed a minimum of 3-4 weeks in advance. All other dessert cakes/treats should be ordered no less than 1-2 weeks prior to the event date. Occasionally there is availability for last minute orders and a rush fee may apply. Please inquire by email: kakesavvy@gmail.com
A Non-fundable retainer fee of 50% of the total is required to reserve your date. If the order is placed less than 2 weeks from the event date (1 month for wedding cakes), the order must be paid in full. Any order less than $100.00 must be paid in full at time of reservation. No date is reserved unless the non-refundable retainer is received. Wedding/Groom's cakes and custom cakes also require a signed contract.
Q: What is the best form of contact?
A: Email is the best form of contact. I reply to emails daily even when we’re closed. Email: kakesavvy@gmail.com
Q: How is the final price of my order determined?
A: Final price is determined by design complexity, number of servings needed, flavor choices, delivery/setup fees and of course taxes. For a custom quote email us at kakesavvy@gmail.com along with design ideas/inspiration photos, number of servings, flavors and delivery info if applicable.
Q: Do you do tastings?
A: We offer tastings for all wedding cakes and custom cakes $400 or more. The tasting fee is $40 and will be applied to your cake order if you book with us within 1 week from tasting.
You will receive a tasting package that includes 1 dozen cupcakes. Included are 3 different cake flavors and 3 different buttercream flavors of our choosing.
Q: Do you deliver?
A: We deliver for a fee based upon distance. To receive a delivery quote please inquire by email.
