  Alexus G. wrote: I would NOT recommend this woman as a photographer to my worst enemy. I was referred to her to do Kambreigh’s Newborn Mini Session, of which costs $145.00. Jennifer told me she asks her customers to pay $75.00 in advance which will not only hold your appointment DATE AND TIME, but is also put towards the package you choose, so my appointment that was made for WEDNESDAY MAY 30th at 10am in Niantic which is a 35 minute drive from my house in Ledyard. After dropping my 3 year old off at school, I headed to my grandmothers next to Niantic and arrived at 9:10 waiting for my 10am appointment. About 20 minutes later Jennifer writes me saying that she will have to reschedule and if I could come at 4:30 and to not be late. After explaining I could not do 4:30 or the following morning like she offered due to my rambunctious three year old being home, and after asking if she could come to my house (since she’s known my family for many many years) she said she doesn’t go to people’s houses she doesn’t know..........I told her I was going to go to JC Penny. I sent her two requests within a week for my $75 dollars back. She would ignore my messages. And finally she writes me about speaking to her attorney because apparently the $75 to hold my date and time is a “retaining fee” that is non refundable which is not stated anywhere and nothing was signed. So after she finally called me back, she said her attorney would only write me a check for $45 because she used the other for travel expenses for driving 40 minutes to Niantic to set up for 9 am. She then tried to tell me it was both of our faults and used every excuse and poor me story to try and justify her not refunding me my $75. She had to bring her child to school for 11 am so apparently there was no way she could have done 10 am and have been a responsible parent...then why did she physically type, “yes I can do Wednesday at 10am” THEN confirm it!?!? After two weeks of not receiving my money back, I went to my bank to dispute the transaction. I’ll be getting my $77.48 back either way, but unless you want to be scammed out of your money take your family elsewhere to get photos done. For someone to do this to a mother that just had a baby WHOS great friends with her aunt, and knows her mother and grandmother, is a shitty human being. This woman see’s no wrong with her actions. She is very unprofessional.
