About us
Hello and welcome to Waterhouse Studios! We are a team of Artists that have a passion for photography, people and life’s precious moments. There is nothing quite like capturing the beauty and uniqueness of each person we come in contact with. Our desire is for each client to see beauty in themselves through heirloom quality photographs and art pieces that they can pass down through generations.
Waterhouse Studios Photography was started in 2011 by Lauren Byrd. In 2014, due to an increase in bookings for weddings and portrait sessions, we started expanding so that we could accommodate more requests and provide services to more clients. We now have five photographers who each specialize in different areas of photography. To keep our business going, we also have three assistants that work with us to help answer emails, schedule bookings and keep things running 24/7!

Liberty, North Carolina "Timothy and I met in 2006, in the beginning of our freshman year of college at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, North Carolina. My roommates and I were walking through the quad, the outdoor common area of our campus, looking for a ride to the mall when I walked up to Timothy and introduced myself and asked for a ride. For three years after that Tim and I were best friends, watching each other date other people and even giving relationship advice to one another, as we were often friends with the other’s date. It wasn’t until the summer before our senior year in college when were both single, and we were able openly admit our feelings for each other. About a year and a half later, Timothy took me to his car, blindfolded me and took me to the place where we met, the bench in the quad. When the blindfold came off there was a rose and two candles in place of the bench and he was on one knee.
