Paul Vieira, owner & creator of Cake Extreme is a multi-talented 37 year old businessman who was born in a small town called Colmar in France. The 3rd of 6 children, Paul studied Electrical Engineering and qualified in 1993 in France. It was in 1999 when he immigrated to South Africa that Paul decided to leave his Electrical Engineering qualification to persue his passion, creating, designing & baking the most amazing cakes!
Paul has been commissioned & has completed many beautiful & jaw dropping cakes for various television shows, establishments & events like:
• The Moulin Rouge cake for popular local soapie 7de Laan • The 90th Nelson Mandela life size celebration cake for Sun International • The aerial eye view cake of Carnival City
Paul has also been involved in a number of community & fund-raising projects. One event stands out above all. Paul achieved a personal unofficial & never before attempted record for decorating 15 800 cupcakes in one day for “Cupcakes for Kids with Cancer”
• Paul holds a Platinum Masterchef honour for the SACA (South African Chefs Association) where he has also been invited to showcase his cake decorating skills • Paul has also been invited by the 1st annual East Rand Wedding show which will be hosted at Emperors Palace in conjunction with Top Billing & DSTV where he will be filmed designing & decorating cakes live. This event will be aired on 2 DSTV channels • He has also been invited to feature at the Grand Design Live show on the 24th & 25th of May 2014 at the Coca-Cola Dome where he will be demonstrating a variety of his skills on specially allocated slots for the very popular show • Paul also has a great relationship with Portuguese TV Channel RTP where he has previously featured in a documentary based on his life & skills as a baker

screens in the very near future. The show is produced by an American company called ASI-B Films. The 23 episode series already has an international distribution deal with Multi-Vision which will see the show taken across North America and Europe. 13 episodes for the first series have already been filmed. The setting for the filming of the show happens at the Cake Extreme bakery & a crew follow Paul & his family on their day to day personal doings as well.
