Bird vets in Pittsburgh? My boyfriend's bird suddenly got really sick. Are there any vets that take birds in the area? We've called around but apparently bird docs aren't very common. Does anyone know where we might be able to take him?

Small animal vet & pet sitters in PGH? I've got three hella cute pet rats who are eventually going to need check-ups and vacation care. Many veterinarians in cities only do dogs and cats, and I'm new to Pittsburgh. Does anyone with small animals or exotics have recommendations for a vet (and pet sitters!) who handle rodents and are within the city itself? Thanks!

Best exotic vet in town... with limited hours; I use him for special cases, and I've seen every sort of animal on his table: http://www.drbobwagner.com/about/ For regular care (checkups, etc) for my rabbits (don't know if he does rats, but he is exotic trained; there *are* others in town): http://www.westlibertyanimalhospital.com/doctors.html Dr. Wagner's page links to the 3 emergency vets in the area. I've had best luck getting someone comfortable enough with exotics at AVETS, but ymmv.
Avian vet? I'm hoping someone else here has pet birds and can help out. Have you found an Avian vet in the area? It looks like there's a Dr. Wagner in North Boros Animal Hospital but his hours seem extremely limited and he only takes cash or check.
Thanks so much! It would mean so much if there's someone I might be able to connect with. I live in the South Hills and would have to rely on Uber or Lyft to travel outside the South Hills area but I'd do that... if I just knew where to go.

I have a caique and I go to Dr. Dorn in Dormont. He's at West Liberty Animal Hospital, and their hours are very reasonable, although they're closed on Saturdays and Sundays. They take credit/debit cards, cash, and checks too. I've never had any reason to schedule any appointments other than grooming and check-ups, so I'm not sure how he is with "emergency" situations or anything like that. But he does a good job without breaking the bank. [Here](http://www.westlibertyanimalhospital.com/) is their website. Good luck!
